Project Assignment:
Provide owner-rep services to the owner during the renovation of 251 single family homes on a single site.  Provide objective third-party recommendations to resolve issues between the owner and contractor.  Record progress of construction through reports.  Provide recommendation of periodic payment to contractor during construction.  Inspect completed units for deficiencies to be corrected by the contractor.

Assignment Details:
The overall goal was to facilitate productive communication between the owner and contractor needed to keep the project moving forward. 

CHS began the process by meeting with on site staff and off site management to understand their concerns and objectives.

During the construction phase, CHS was present for progress meetings with CMHA and the contractor.  Field Reports including photographs were generated to record progress and decisions made at the meetings.  CHS was available to the contractor to answer questions that arose during construction.  CHS assisted the owner in developing a “punch list” of deficiencies to be corrected by the contractor as portions of the project were completed.
